Secret Santa List: USB Gadgets

In the previous post, I talked about USB gadgets as an office gift don’ts.  But there are actually some very cool gifts out there.  Skip the USB desk rocket launcher and go with these:

1.)  USB Car Charger
iPads and iPhones and many other devices use USB ports to charge.  What’s great about this device is that it keeps a low profile in the car and utilizes the devices existing cord.  Check it out here: Link

2.)  Portable Power
A dead phone is such a ubiquitous problem, this gift is like giving a really nice umbrella…if most people didn’t carry umbrellas already.  Link

3.)  Coffee Cup Inverter
At first glance, this looks gimicky, but it’s really practical.  Most of us lack a way to charge laptops in cars.  Inverters are often ugly and don’t fit into your vehicle in any easy way.  But most cars have cup holders to spare.  Why not take advantage of that to always have power on hand.  Link  (Coffee cup too much for you?  Here’s a plain version Link)

4.)  Flash Drive and Key Organizer
Having a flash drive has become pocket or purse item.  This helps put all your essentials in one place.  Link

5.)  Space Bar and USB Hub
This items creates room on the desktop by elevating the monitor.  It creates a space to store a keyboard and also provides USB ports up front.  This keeps you from bending down to plug into your tower or turning your Mac around.  Link
